Processing of your personal data
Responsible party processing of your personal data
The information you provide us in this online application and any other information we collect about you during the recruitment process, including but not limited to your name, contact information, candidate status, work history and other information which is capable of identifying you personally (collectively, “your personal data”) will be managed and controlled by Cherry Bekaert. In connection with your application for employment, we may collect the following categories of your personal data:
Identifiers and Contact information. This category includes names, addresses, telephone numbers, mobile numbers, email addresses, signatures, dates of birth, and other similar contact information and identifiers.
Protected Classification Information. This category includes characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law.

Purposes for which we process your personal data
We will process your personal data for purposes related to considering you for employment at Cherry Bekaert. In particular, we may use your personal data to assess your professional qualifications and experience to determine if they meet specific job requirements, related both to current and future positions with the Firm. We may further use your personal data to contact you during your candidacy for employment, request further information from you, notify you about job opportunities that may arise in the future, and/or for our internal administrative purposes and compliance with applicable law.
Making changes to your personal data
You can access your personal data, correct it, or delete it at any time by logging into Cherry Bekaert’s employment application webpage, www.cbh.com. Personal data submitted for a specific opportunity is recorded as of the date of submission and cannot be changed for that specific opportunity. Cherry Bekaert retains personal data submitted for a specific opportunity in accordance with applicable employment law and its record retention practices.
Retention of your personal data
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. We retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, enforce our legal agreements and policies, and address other legitimate business needs. We will delete, deidentify, or aggregate your personal data when it is no longer reasonably required for the purposes described herein (or compatible purposes), or, where applicable, when you withdraw your consent or request erasure, to the extent that we are not legally required or otherwise permitted to continue to hold such data. Transfer to third parties

Collection of Candidate Data
If you receive a conditional offer of employment from Cherry Bekaert, we may collect additional data about you (“Candidate Data”) directly from third parties, for example, in connection with a background or employment check or employment reference. Collection of Candidate Data may be subject to separate privacy statements that are provided to you by such third parties, and we strongly encourage you to carefully read such statements.
Additional declarations
If the role and job responsibilities of the position for which you have applied require it, upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, you may be asked to review and complete separate disclosure and authorization forms regarding background checks which must be satisfactorily conducted as a condition of employment. Any and all such disclosure and authorization requests and background checks will be presented, performed and processed in compliance with applicable local law.
Massachusetts Residents
It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment. An employer who violates this law shall be subject to criminal penalties and civil liability.
Maryland Residents
Under Maryland law, an employer may not require or demand, as a condition of employment, prospective employment, or continued employment, that an individual submit to or take a polygraph examination or similar test. An employer who violates this law is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine not exceeding $100.
